Would I go back again? Yick. (Location: El Cangrejo) FOOD: xx SERVICE: x AMBIENCE: x PRICE:$ OVERALL:xx

This cafe reminds me more, than any other establishment I've ever been in, of my middle school cafeteria. As I walked in I could almost hear the kids talking about how cool or uncool I was--even though there was no one in the joint. The woman behind the long, metal, cafeteria-style buffet was smiling and waving--she might as well have been wearing a hairnet and latex gloves. With a slight cringe on my face, I asked what was being served for lunch: "meatballs, fish, and rice" she said. OK, i'll have one of each.

She served it to me on a slightly dirty plate placed atop a red plastic tray. I moved along the buffet to the cashier who was siitting there, her fat pudgy body wedged between the register and the wall. This was eerily similar to the obesity and slop I was forced to experience during grade school.

I sat down at a corner table by myself. The meat could have passed as miniature golf balls and going along with the childhood theme, the fish reminded me of those sponges I used to take into the bathtub, that would grow to 100 times their size--enjoyable in the bath, not on your plate. I was thoroughly disgusted with my meal and left with about half of it still on the plate. As I walked outside, I noticed that the sign for the restaurant said something like "We're the experts of food". Experts?!
