I am a big fan of this place, and while it's relatively unassuming, I found it an extremely pleasant surprise when I was forced dine in order to avoid getting soaked in a torrential downpour. It's kinda nuevo Italian (whatever that means) and they have a variety of pasta and pizza dishes. My favorite, the Penne Puttanesca, was about a 6 on the Puttanesca scale. Nothing spectacular. It was also, however, extremely cheap and the plate of clams that we got as an appetizer was huuuuge. They were these little-neck clams steamed in some sort of garlicy, herby broth. $3.50 for the whole shabang. Our waitress was sort of old. She wore some thick, cakey makeup that made me think of my 2nd grade painting class: the one where I used to get paint all over my face. Overall, the ambience is very chill and for the $6 entrees, I can't complain. They have a great lasagna according to my friend Adam and their location is within perfect walking distance of hotels in El Cangrejo, Area Bancaria, and Obarrio. More Panama Food tastes good |
