I walk by this place all the time and finally today I decided to give a shot. It's right next to a Chinese corner store and I have a feeling they are related in some way. It is the cheapest place I have been to so far. The ambience is high but not in a fancy french resturante type of way. It has a run down, quaint, authentic look to it. I ordered pork with rice, beans, and of course plantains. It was a little better than average. They also have trite and fried fish. I went at around 12:15 and it was packed. You just share a table with a stranger.
