In Panama's elite Punta Pacifica neighborhood, sit the floor plans for a pretty neat looking Trump building. The project is called Trump Ocean Club and it'll have ocean-front condos, condo hotel rooms (whatever those are), as well as a yacht club and casino. The building itself looks like a giant sail—the kind of thing that looks like it could take off with a strong gust of wind or powerful flatulence. Actually, if you look at it long enough, it looks like the letter “Pâ€â€”how very patriotic of you Mr. Trump. Then again, it looks more like a giant “Dâ€â€”how very egotistical of you Mr. Trump. Realistically, Trump probably won't even have anything to do with the project. It'll be his little Trump minions who run around and do all the work. The project claims to “redefine the standard for luxury living in Latin America†on its website which sounds like an admirable goal. I especially like it because just recently I redefined the standard for speed in Latin America—not an easy feat, but then again, I'm very fast. The Trump Club seems like it will be good for the city. I'm sure there are people out there that think the last thing this city needs is another project, but common, it's Trump. I definitely want to get one of those condos—especially because the website shows that they come with really stylish people and sweet flat screen TVs. The architects have done some pretty impressive work, including a few hotels that look like giant cat jungle gyms and I think the project will be a success. Welcome Mr. Trump, welcome. ![]() written by Steve Mancour , November 13, 2008 I had heard that this building actually had nothing whatever to do with Donald Trump except that he was paid a hefty fee for the use of his name in the project and other than that, his minions will also have nothing to do with the project.

written by Lamer , January 09, 2009 I read the same thing on the internet here http://www.thepanamanews.com/p...ss_03.html
If I remember correctly, Trump Tower is actually owned by a Venezuelan party and it is based on loans from Panamanian banks. Better see the source. report abuse

written by Stick , May 11, 2009 If the world doesn't know this man by now. Sure, he has money in it, but it is money the Internal Revenue of the US will never see. Does off-shore banking ring a bell. This is the biggest masquerade on the Panamanian people ever. Trump is a money-making machine, and would not allow the use of his name if he didn't have an interest in it.

written by J. , August 24, 2009 The TOC project is moving full steam ahead despite what any naysayers believe. No, Donald is not personally looking after the project. This falls under his daughter Ivanka's area of responsibility. If anyone has seen her speak on CNBC or elsewhere she comes across as a knowledgeable, responsible, in-the-know kind of person. This project will be an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10 when it is completed. And the hotel will be managed by the Trump Organization. That contract has already been signed. If anyone thinks a project with the Trump name and managed by Trump will not be a first class top rate project then they are clueless.

written by Matthew , September 04, 2009 There is little or no hope for this development.
Every other Trump development (Mexico and the US - go ahead look it up), has either never got off the ground or the buyers are stuck with unit that are low quality or legal issues tied to it. One thing that is consistent is that Trump and the developers will be guaranteed to walk away with peoples deposits, hopes and dreams! Also, these units are WAY over priced for the market. We are talking more than double the square meter price in the area. Go ahead, look that up too! Now, what bank is going to finance units that are worth less than what is one the purchase contract, especially in this market. Yea, I am sure the development will complete, but not without the buyers being left with nothing in return. Thanks Trump! report abuse

written by Trump Ocean Club , January 28, 2011 Donald Trump has done it again. He’s managed to tick off his naysayers and, in the course of four years, construct what will no doubt be an icon and must-see in Panama. The Trump Ocean Club is less than five months from completion, and all signs point to one of the most well equipped, well designed buildings in Latin America. And it will blow the competition away.
Throughout my real estate career, I’ve probably been in over 500 condos in Panama. With the exception of a handful of properties, there is always something missing. Maybe the floorplan will be fabulous, but the balcony is just too little. Or maybe the layout of the condo is spot-on, but the social area has no gym and the pool is tiny. Yes, there are those rare exceptions where all the real estate stars seem to line up, but in most cases, it’s like smelling a simmering spaghetti sauce for four hours and anticipating that perfect first bite only to realize that there is just SOMETHING missing. No detail has been left unaddressed in Trump Ocean Club. The amenity list reads like an all inclusive resort, the floorplans are elegant and spacious, and the building design leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. What other building in Panama has more than three swimming pools? Trump will have five. What other residency can claim eight gourmet restaurants all with room service access? Not a single building in Panama. The Trump name is enough to get passerbys to stop in and have a look. As the valet scoops away their cars and they slowly make their way, mouths agape, into the double height lobby, they’ll be hooked. Curb appeal has new definition in Panama: Trump Ocean Club. report abuse
