I never thought I'd be saying this, but I really like hanging out in a casino. The Veneto is a giant Panama City hotel and Casino. In addition to the galaxy of slots and card tables, they've got a whole wall of plasma TVs and you can bet on almost any sport, including curling, thumb wrestling and my favorite, crow racing. They have over 400,000 sq ft of gaming space which is almost overwhelming. The drinks are cheap, the service is quick, and the oddballs come in droves.

From all the casinos i've visited in Panama, The Veneto is head and heels above the competition. They have zero attitude which is great for me, because I'll get the same pleasant smile in my swimsuit as a high roller in a an Armani suit. They have four restaurants, a sushi bar, a gorgeous new spa, and a scenic roof top pool deck--studded with palm trees and comfy pool chairs. If you know how picky I am about restaurants, hotels, and bars---than you'll be sure to give this place a shot.

The real estate company booked me in here 'cos everywhere else is booked up, and having read the reviews on Expedia it may turn out to be a real adventure. I read the area is not safe at night: true or scare-mongering?
