Pleasant outdoor stools and tables surrounded by old barrel kegs make Istmo a good little spot to sit down on a breezy summer evening and catch up with a friend. The imposing copper fermentation tanks inside the bar let you know that this place doesn't mess around with their beer. Ask your server for the complimentary sampler to get the glass that's right for you. Be warned though that they might not have every beer that is listed, but they are known to have some good appetizers.
