Would I go back again? Perhaps, if I'm feeling hip

This Casco Viejo Bar is in the old city Casco Viejo and the man if these walls could talk (I've always wanted to use that phrase). The restaurant is divided into three main hall-like dining rooms and the brick domed ceilings give the feeling that you're in a cave. This is because you are. This place is for the super hip so if you're not cool--don't go. The sangria was surprisingly pungent and although we ordered a "half pitcher" we definitely got a full one. Maybe that's a little ordering trick you could use when you go there. I'd go to this place again for dinner--but not anything after that because I'm not trendy enough. It's definitely on the pricier side of restaurants in Panama and in my opinion, it's not all that worth it. The food is pretty good, but not nearly good enough to warrant the $20 price tags of each main course. The waiters, in my five experiences here have also been a bit dissapointingly stubborn--three of five times, trying to push things we didn't want and rush us out of there before the next sitting. Las Bovedas! What's your problem. You're not all that! Casco Viejo Bars UNITE! Get to the GROOVE with more Panama Nightlife OR if you're feeling spicy, |
