Would I go back again? I suppose (Bocas Del Toro) ATTITUDE:xx MOOD: xx SERVICE:xx BEEROMETER:$$ OVERALL:xx

There's no tranquility and refuge in this temple: a seaside bar/disco near Hotel Bahia, towards the end of the main strip. The atmosphere is, as best I can describe it, psychedelic trance club meets surfer hangout meets trendy city bar. They play the music loud, almost obnoxiously loud. So loud that you have to nuzzle up to someone just to have a conversation.

On weekend mornings, you can see typical party entrails: floating beer bottles, passed out teenagers, and messy tables, clearly left abandoned by late-night workers. The ‘beerometer' is at $$ because although I consider $1 to be very reasonable for an ocean-side bar, the locals tell me you can get the same brew for $.50 next door. I was also in a bad mood since my favorite hat blew away into the Caribbean so that put a damper on the night...and this review.
