Would I go back again? Yes (El Cangrejo--—Via Espana) ATTITUDE:xxx MOOD: x SERVICE:xx BEEROMETER:$ OVERALL:xxx

In the litter of glitzy casinos, The Crown Casino Panama would be kind of like the runt. It's not quite as big, fancy, or Vegasy as the rest of them, but what it lacks in lavishness, it makes up for in eccentricity. You could spend a while in Crown Casino Panam drinking $.75 mixed drinks (happy hour is every day from 5pm to 10pm), watching people get robbed by one arm bandits, or playing any of the casino's card tables.

They've put up mirrors everywhere so that when you walk in, you think the place is about 4 times the size it actually is—(be careful not to walk into one of the mirror walls). My favorite attraction here is the horse races. Although I'm not a gambler, I just couldn't help but bet on these little electric horses jittering around the race track. Fun casino bar where you can goof off and be silly without someone in a black suit asking you to leave.

sask99: won't go back
I had a strange experience at the Crown Casino today. Playing Black Jack, bet $15, a young Panamanian man (with about 3 or 4 friends) places $3 on my square. We win, and he takes $18 of "our winnings"??? I try to protest and say "what's going on"? The dealer observes this, but didn't do a thing and continued to deal. I don't speak Spanish and the dealer obviously didn't understand my English, but the language barrier shouldn't be an excuse. A few older players like myself noticed what happened, but seemed too intimidated to raise any kind of objection either. Granted, this isn't Vegas, but when the dealer so blaitantly seemed to be part of this little money making scheme, it doesn't speak to much about the professionalism of the establishment. Needless to say I walked out and won't be back. I spend 3 or 4 months a year down here and leave a lot of money in the Casinos, so ultimately, I guess its the Crown Casino who loses in the end.
