This place is run by a Mexican couple. They've imported everything from their homeland and the place has the real feel of a south-of-the-boarder hotel—or so I've been told, having never been to Mexico. The rooms are nicely furnished with a/c, cable TV, hot water and a pretty decent restaurant. Rates are about $30/night. Each of the rooms were equipped with wireless and there´s a cute courtyard in the center of the grounds. The pool is pretty nice looking, but I didn´t get a chance to test it properly. I am pretty much the authority on hotel pools in Panama, and I´d give this one three stars just for asthetics. (Just to give you an idea, I once was offered a large lump sum to evaluate several hotel pools but declined because I ¨was tìred.¨) I would reccomend this hotel as a stopping or starting point for an adventure into the Azuero Peninsula. It´s got a nice lobby area with lots of Mexican-y looking things which made me think, just for a second, that I wasn`t in Panama anymore. There are about 25 rooms and all looked pretty decent. They also all had TVs that looked like soccer balls. Which, for me, was a perk because I love soccer. I don´t know if I´ve mentioned it, but I used to be one of the best defenders in America. I played strong and with heart. La Hacienda Vía Interamericana Entrada al Uvito, Veraguas (507) 958 8580 Website: Don´t think they have one Get back to more Panama Hotels |
