Tropical Suites is located on Isla Colon in Bocas del Toro Panama. It guarantees an alternative view to life in the beautiful and fascinating province of Bocas del Toro. Set in a convenient location, it provides good access to everything the town can offer such as great restaurants, grocery stores and supermarkets.

This Carribean-style hotel is one of the most upscale hotels in town. It is immaculately clean and looks pretty damn attractive from the outside. It is owned and managed by Petri and Hans: both of whom were gracious hosts, succeeding in making us feel very comfortable. They went out of their way to give us the warmest welcome and to make sure that our stay in the hotel was totally memorable. They were also very informative and helpful to us newcomers as to how to navigate in town.

The hotel staff other than Petri and Hans were very pleasant, professional and helpful as well. They were more than happy to give tips on sights to see and also give us directions to amazing restaurants. The front desk staff was always quick to arrange water taxis or tours with expert guides. They were there whenever and whereever needed.

We really appreciated the rooms too: well-appointed, clean, comfortable and roomy. Our room faced the water and had a spectacular view. We paid extra for the assured comfort in this room and would recommend future guests do the same. The windows and doors are all soundproofed which can be useful upon the occasional locals drinking party. Tropical Suites also provided all the basic amenities we need such as internet, good air conditioning, ceiling fans and a modern flat 21' color cable TV with movie channels, hot water and a well-equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, with refrigerator, electrical cooking, table, coffee maker and all the dishes.

Having the kitchen was really great. I love to cook and so does Fern! Also we had the chance to pack our lunches for various day trips (far more exciting and homey than going to a deli). The 24-hour maid service is a huge plus too. The beds were very comfortable with allergen-free beddings. The bathroom was spacious with double sinks and a nice big Jacuzzi type bathtub. We especially liked our balcony overlooking the waterfront which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful sunrises. Aside from being quiet, there were also no obtrusive smells that are sometimes found in many hotels located on or near water (ie. mildew). This hotel has its own dock with a water slide, kayaks, and jet skis available for guest use.

With all these comforts, Topical Suites is really the ideal place to stay when visiting Bocas. We love our stay in Tropical Suites and definitely our first choice upon return.
