A Man's Guide To Panamanian Women

They're pretty fantastic, if you ask me. Maybe they're not as beautiful as the legendary lovelies of Colombia, Venezuela or even Argentina...but they're darn cute. Panama is an incredibly diverse culture, and the wide variety of ethnicities and mixed ancestries makes for some very interesting looking women. If you like women...and what man doesn't, you'll like Panama.

The various appearances of Panamanian generally fall into these categories, referenced below by their local monikers:

Cholita – a mix of Indian, African and Spanish...like Noriega himself...but prettier.

Negrita – Of African or afro-Caribbean decent.

Espaola – Fair skinned Latinas of dominantly Spanish bloodlines.

European – There are a high number of Jewish immigrants and other European descendents living in Panama.

Chinita – Thousands of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Taiwanese immigrants have resided in Panama for generations.

Add to this list the occasional North American, Hindu and mixes of any combination of the cultures above, and you can understand that Panama has a very interesting bill of fare. And of course, if none of these does it for you, there are several thousand Colombians residing in Panama...but that's a different article altogether.

Positive Traits of Most Panamanian Women:

Many have naturally athletic figures and spend time in the gym.

They love fashion and are incredibly well dressed.

They are professional, well educated and generally self-sufficient.

They can be very motherly, sweet and attentive.

They are aggressive and unafraid to make the first move.

They are very passionate and openly express emotion.

Easy to approach and in great numbers. Where to find them? Walk outside!

In general, I find Panamanian women to be very funny and enjoyable to be around.

And Now, The Negatives (ladies, I'm not suggesting you're ALL this way):

They tend to be loud and a little bossy

They expect a lot and can be very high maintenance

They are at times, insanely jealous

The passion sometimes translates to frequent spats and unnecessary conflicts

All in all, I think that the average single Joe will be very pleased with the dating scene and the quality and beauty of the women in Panama. It is truly a melting pot with a variety of beauties as diverse as the landscape of the country itself.

Good brief summary. Hope you had fun. However the "cholas" is synonym for "mestizza", which is a person European and Native American ancestry. So they are the ones that are 100% indigenous without or barely Spanish blood in them (African blood is excluded).

Married to panama woman
written by NJ guy , January 29, 2008
Your so right about panama women...My wife is from panama, she is an extremely beautiful woman (ex-model). She is only 23 and a is making 50k for a private jet airline as a flight dispatcher in jersey where we live. I'm latin american (not from panamanian ancestry) and we have a two year old daughter. She is a great mom But she is can be insanely jealous at times, and extremely sweet at times. She can be very demanding and wants to wear the pants around the house but I don't mind (a strong woman can achieve alot more than a weak one). She is part italian (grandfather is from italy and moved to panama) and parents are light skinned. I've never met a panamanian till I met her and her family. They are all educated people who strive to achieve professional postions. Her dad is a teacher from panama, uncle is a judge in panama, sister is a lawyer panama, ect.... I don't judge people from what country they come from (there are good and bad people anywhere you go) but that's what i know about panama people. She tells me panama is a very modern country and not what people think about a latin country. I'm happy with her she is not a pre madonna , she knows that bills and cost of living come first. If their is any spare change then she'll go splurge on herself. She was born in panama then raised Here in the USA till middle school, her father then moved the family back to panama cause he didn't like the educational system here. She then finished private school and returned to The US to get her BA. at a college of aeronautics. That's when I met her while she was in College. Her father was furiously upset that I was interfering with his daughters education, but I couldn't help myself she was beautiful. We fell in love while she was in college and got married and I in no time told her to stop her education. She finished her BA. and now has her dream job. We bought our first home and have a beautiful daughter. Nowadays her father and I are best buddies, When get together we'll buy a case of beer and just hang out. Well this is my story and I hope you enjoyed it, bye.

Your website is great, but articles like this one really take away from it. Does this article give any real information? No. Just propogates stereotypes.

Keep up the great hotel, restaurant and tourism reviews. But please reconsider the sexist stereotypes, it really takes away from the other great work you're doing.

surgery... not so sure
written by Steven Burns , August 25, 2009
I've been to colombia several times and yes, fake boobs are pretty common but I don't think Kurt was talking about silicone boobies when he said beautiful, I think he was talking about the beautiful faces, eyes and bodies those colombians have.
It's all in the genes... sorry, but it is, surgery can give you fake boobs, fake lips and a fake butt, but it wont change an ugly duckling into Scarlet Johansen if you know what I mean smilies/wink.gif

Can't keep appointments
written by Wael , September 09, 2009
I don't find most Panamanian women attractive, but of course there are exceptions. They're easy to ask out as well, but then they never keep the appointment. Like all Panamanians, they think nothing of wasting your time and failing to show without even calling. And many Latin American women expect to be treated badly, and if you are nice to them they think you're a wimp and walk all over you.

Insecure, Ignorant men
written by Yahaira , October 11, 2009
I'm speechless!!! Of course some of the stereotypes are mentioned, but I must admit that it was fairly accurate. The comments have me completely speechless!!!!! I am down right offended by the negative comments. To take an experience with one or two women and generalize it to an entire population of women is just ignorant. Because of the variety in our country, Panamanian Women are some of the most beautiful women around. I'm gorgeous and get stopped damn near everywhere I go. I am a very successful model but I dont let that define me. Insecure, Ignorant men make it hard for any latina that is not the typical "white girl" with curly hair.

Its a matter of taste
written by Daniel , October 24, 2009
I like latin women, I don't like typical white girls, but I still prefer brazilian or colombian. They are latina but they are pretty.
There are pretty girls in Panama, but they are not that common, they are harder to find than in other countries such as Brazil.
Being a "model" is also harder in colombia, brazil or california, because the competition is tough...

Beautiful Panamanian Women
written by Pana , December 01, 2011
Wow sounds like a bunch of ignorant men posting comments. FYI, Panama used to be a part of Colombia. So when you diss Panamanian women and say that Colombian women are better looking you're really not making much sense. Of course, I don't expect for men who aren't even from the country to know the history of it, even though, if you're American, it's part of your own history. The US has had it's hand in the pot of making Panama an independent country along with taking over the building of the Panama Canal. Most Panamanians are mixed just like Brazilians. Panamanians comes from all different walks of life just like Americans. I myself am Panamanian. I have been asked time and time again if I am Brazilian. I get hit on all the time by guys of all races which comes along with the beauty of being mixed with so many different ethnicities. I used to model as well. There are a lot of beautiful Panamanian actresses and models that you all probably don't even know about: Tatiana Ali(Fresh Prince of Bel Aire) and Jordana Brewster (Fast and the Furious/Fast 5) but you all just stereo-type how a woman is. Well, women of every race have been known to be bitches, not quite danty like a little boy as some of you men seem to want your women, are argumentative (yes Asians aren't quite as submissive as a lot of you white boys may think), etc... I'm pretty sure if I saw a picture of some of you men who are bitching about Panamanian women, I bet you probably aren't as good looking as Brad Pitt or Montel Williams and you probably might be difficult to deal with as well. All of my Panamanian female friends are beautiful, you probably just don't realize that they are Panamanian but I guarantee if you saw both myself and my friends you would swallow those words and be like man I need to check out Panama. smilies/wink.gif

PANAMEÑA BUSCA NOVIO EUROPEO
written by Grettel , August 09, 2012

Dear David:

where do I start ? I was born in Panama, I am serious by day and looking to enjoy all of life the rest of the time. . my friends describe myself she is a lady, intelligent, honest, sincere, outgoing, spontaneous, communicative, charismatic, charming and every other nice words..hummm you are the perfect woman what happend with the mans in panama …. but I can think I am LEO with “ witty brain and sarcastic mood ja ja is a plus ….. I can also laugh at myself.

i am , strong in character with a deep sense of loyalty, integrity and confidence and secure with who I am… Perseverance has always been the word that describes me best.

My search is for love, I have God in my heart as the most important I see my life as a repository of experiences that have presented themselves either as gifts or as difficult lessons, all enriching, challenging, heartbreaking, moving, transforming, exhilarating. Now, I am searching for someone who likes to laugh a lot, and maybe be silly at times.

Conversation and comunication is the first, step of everything, and for everything in life, I am looking for someone that is fun to be with, witty, attractive (with brains) appreciate the finer things in life and has "life experience"... As we all know, "age is not measured only in years". With position come benefits that allow those fortunate few to live and enjoy life.

See you soon...

Special Education Assistant
written by Stanley , November 01, 2012
All this men that had made negative comments about Panamanian women must be insecured men with no game on how to approach women or might suffer from small dick complex. I am a Panamanian man living in Los Angeles, CA for 31 years and my best and most unforgetable vacations have been in Panama. What I like about Panamanian women are their friendliness and sweetness and I love the way they express themselves. Many of these men that have posted negative comments about Panamanian women are men who go to Panama with the idea of finding an exclusive European look which is considered by many ignorant men as the ultimate beauty and when they see the African, Indiginous, Spanish, European, Asian, Indian, and the influences of other races then it is something that it takes them by surprise when they don't see the Hollywood look that they are looking for. In my opinion I find Panamanian women very beautiful and attractive and well mannered, one will always find the good, the bad, and the ugly in every race. Beauty is not defined by nationality or race, there are beautiful women all over the world, but I prefer Panamanian and Hispanic women in general. What I love about Panamanian, Colombian, and Brazilian women physically is their gorgeous, beautiful, big round derrieres and that's one aspect that I love about women who have traits of different races. I have never had a negative experience during the times that I have visited Panama and for the record I'm not a millionaire neither the best looking guy, so I don't know what these insecured guys are talking about when every foreigner that has visited my country have comeback very pleased in their interaction with Panamanian women.

Just exploring
written by Chris Kessel , January 27, 2013
It doesn't seem that I want to get into the "Panama Beauty" argument that I keep reading about. I am 54, Caucasian (hate that word probably almost as much as the Panamanian laidies hate their "label".

I have to agree with the women who bristle at the stereotypes and cliches that they have have talked about at this site. Perhaps other sites are not so rigid.

But if I move to Panama, yes, I would love to meet a beautiful woman. On the other hand, I used to be quite good looking, and some say I still am, but I wouldn't put that at the top of my list. Of course, some attractiveness works well both ways. But I still look for a companion too, in every sense of the word. And no, I don't speak of perfection, I don't expect it, nor can I provide it. But as always, to have a best friend, companion, and a sexual partner is what I'd be looking for at this point in my life.

I'll be honest, because it helps me and anyone thinking about approaching me because of money. I really don't have much, and I'm about a year a way from moving. Yes, I love sex, and in many different ways, but only to the point that my partner loves it too.

I will also say that I find Hispanic women vibrantly beautiful, and I think I'm willing to explore different kinds of sexual pleasure. But as I said before, only to the extent that my partner would be comfortable with. So it could be wild and crazy, or sweet and loving. I see the value in both. And if the wild coincided with the sweet, then the scenario would be great.

But whether wild or sweet, my longer term goal is to find a companion. Perhaps I am a fool, or perhaps I will connect with someone compatible in either sense. I'll sign off now, and take care of yourselves out there everyone, O.K.?

Offensive
written by Aura , February 19, 2013
I am appalled at these very offensive comments. I am also a Panamanian and I have lived in the US a long time. I agree with Stanley and the others here who describe as insecure the men who have written these negative comments. I consider myself an extremely attractive Panamanian. I have an athletic, in shape, body to match with exotic, attractive features. In my 22 years living in the US, it has been my experience that any man that did not find me attractive (very few) were ALWAYS ugly, dorky, weirdos, who knew that they could never get a woman like me. Consequently, in order to feel better about themselves, these losers resort to insults and put downs. It would be interesting to see what these critical men in here actually look like...I bet you a million dollars I'm right!

Oh! one last thing
written by Aura , February 19, 2013
And for all the jerks here who were married or dated a Panamanian woman, I bet it is your attitude and your own shortcomings which caused you to fail in your relationships. Panamanians are not money hungry or excessively jealous. They are kindhearted people, extremely friendly and always willing to help. I do agree that many might be a little grumpy, but at least we are honest, sincere and not a two face. You negative men in here, are just failures in life, who are not capable of maintaining a successful relationship with anyone, so you blame your lack of success on others by attacking a particular race. smilies/wink.gif

This article is very outdated
written by Carl Stanley , August 22, 2013
Lets begin with the fact that Panama has a ratio of 1.06 males to females and this includes the elderly wich is when men die off so saying there is 7 girls to 10 guys is not much of an understatement, because of this the women have become extremely choosy and take all men for granted that is the good ones so Panama is definetely not a place to meet women. And the ones that are nice etc etc probably below your level so they are more intrested in the climb. In other words if you want to meet women go to Colombia or Costa Rica way better and nicer.

And the ignorance goes on...
written by Aura , September 14, 2013
In Panama the great majority of the prostitutes come from Colombia. That being said, women from Costa Rica and a lot of their citizens appear to be very nice. I was there several years ago. However, I heard many comments that they are only nice to foreigners that possess the mighty dollar. It is unfair to stereotype people from a particular race or country. There are good Panamanians and bad ones. In the same manner, there are good Colombians and bad ones and so on...
Finally, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sadly, it seems that most of the world has an ideal of female beauty. It seems that most people consider European/Caucasian looks as most attractive. Some though, are not as ignorant and can actually appreciate women with mixed features like Beyonce or Halle Berry. We cannot change the world. That's just how things aresmilies/sad.gif

"There are a lot of beautiful Panamanian actresses and models that you all probably don't even know about: Tatiana Ali(Fresh Prince of Bel Aire) and Jordana Brewster (Fast and the Furious/Fast 5)"

Saying Tatiana is Panamanian is equivalent to saying Barack Obama is English. And Jordana is Panamanian by birth, but neither one of her parents are Panamanian (Brazilian and American)
