They're pretty fantastic, if you ask me. Maybe they're not as beautiful as the legendary lovelies of Colombia, Venezuela or even Argentina...but they're darn cute. Panama is an incredibly diverse culture, and the wide variety of ethnicities and mixed ancestries makes for some very interesting looking women. If you like women...and what man doesn't, you'll like Panama. The various appearances of Panamanian generally fall into these categories, referenced below by their local monikers:
Cholita – a mix of Indian, African and Spanish...like Noriega himself...but prettier. Negrita – Of African or afro-Caribbean decent. Espa�ola – Fair skinned Latinas of dominantly Spanish bloodlines. European – There are a high number of Jewish immigrants and other European descendents living in Panama. Chinita – Thousands of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Taiwanese immigrants have resided in Panama for generations.
Add to this list the occasional North American, Hindu and mixes of any combination of the cultures above, and you can understand that Panama has a very interesting bill of fare. And of course, if none of these does it for you, there are several thousand Colombians residing in Panama...but that's a different article altogether.
Positive Traits of Most Panamanian Women:
Many have naturally athletic figures and spend time in the gym. They love fashion and are incredibly well dressed. They are professional, well educated and generally self-sufficient. They can be very motherly, sweet and attentive. They are aggressive and unafraid to make the first move. They are very passionate and openly express emotion. Easy to approach and in great numbers.� Where to find them?� Walk outside! In general, I find Panamanian women to be very funny and enjoyable to be around.
And Now, The Negatives (ladies, I'm not suggesting you're ALL this way):
They tend to be loud and a little bossy They expect a lot and can be very high maintenance They are at times, insanely jealous The passion sometimes translates to frequent spats and unnecessary conflicts
All in all, I think that the average single Joe will be very pleased with the dating scene and the quality and beauty of the women in Panama.� It is truly a melting pot with a variety of beauties as diverse as the landscape of the country itself.

  written by G.A. , June 19, 2007 Good brief summary. Hope you had fun. However the "cholas" is synonym for "mestizza", which is a person European and Native American ancestry. So they are the ones that are 100% indigenous without or barely Spanish blood in them (African blood is excluded).

She is only 23 and a is making 50k for a private jet airline as a flight dispatcher in jersey where we live. I'm latin american (not from panamanian ancestry) and we have a two year old daughter. She is a great mom But she is can be insanely jealous at times, and extremely sweet at times. She can be very demanding and wants to wear the pants around the house but I don't mind (a strong woman can achieve alot more than a weak one). She is part italian (grandfather is from italy and moved to panama) and parents are light skinned. I've never met a panamanian till I met her and her family. They are all educated people who strive to achieve professional postions. Her dad is a teacher from panama, uncle is a judge in panama, sister is a lawyer panama, ect.... I don't judge people from what country they come from (there are good and bad people anywhere you go) but that's what i know about panama people. She tells me panama is a very modern country and not what people think about a latin country. I'm happy with her she is not a pre madonna , she knows that bills and cost of living come first. If their is any spare change then she'll go splurge on herself. She was born in panama then raised Here in the USA till middle school, her father then moved the family back to panama cause he didn't like the educational system here. She then finished private school and returned to The US to get her BA. at a college of aeronautics. That's when I met her while she was in College. Her father was furiously upset that I was interfering with his daughters education, but I couldn't help myself she was beautiful. We fell in love while she was in college and got married and I in no time told her to stop her education. She finished her BA. and now has her dream job. We bought our first home and have a beautiful daughter. Nowadays her father and I are best buddies, When get together we'll buy a case of beer and just hang out. Keep up the great hotel, restaurant and tourism reviews. But please reconsider the sexist stereotypes, it really takes away from the other great work you're doing. report abuse

Very jealous people for absolutely no reason... Always want to be the boss... And if you ask me, very slutty with no sense of what's right and very money hungry prople.. I am not only speaking about my ex wife.. I have been exposed to many Panamanian people in general since I was with her.. Family included.. So my advice is never marry one.. They are more trouble that they are worth..

I'm from Switzerland but I have traveled extensively all over south and central america and if you ask me Panamanian women aren't the prettiest if you compare them to what you can find in Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina or even close neighbor Costa Rica. Colombia's my personal favorite  they are pretty and most of them are easy going and not bitchy at all. So, whoever is calling the author unfair or stereotypical, should actually thank the guy for talking about all the good things panamanian women have to offer: they try to dress good, they like to party, they are usually fun. He forgot to mention they are easy to ask out if you look foreign. report abuse

 written by Steven Burns , August 25, 2009 I've been to colombia several times and yes, fake boobs are pretty common but I don't think Kurt was talking about silicone boobies when he said beautiful, I think he was talking about the beautiful faces, eyes and bodies those colombians have.
It's all in the genes... sorry, but it is, surgery can give you fake boobs, fake lips and a fake butt, but it wont change an ugly duckling into Scarlet Johansen if you know what I mean

 written by Wael , September 09, 2009 I don't find most Panamanian women attractive, but of course there are exceptions. They're easy to ask out as well, but then they never keep the appointment. Like all Panamanians, they think nothing of wasting your time and failing to show without even calling. And many Latin American women expect to be treated badly, and if you are nice to them they think you're a wimp and walk all over you.

I am down right offended by the negative comments. To take an experience with one or two women and generalize it to an entire population of women is just ignorant. Because of the variety in our country, Panamanian Women are some of the most beautiful women around. I'm gorgeous and get stopped damn near everywhere I go. I am a very successful model but I dont let that define me. Insecure, Ignorant men make it hard for any latina that is not the typical "white girl" with curly hair.

There are pretty girls in Panama, but they are not that common, they are harder to find than in other countries such as Brazil. Being a "model" is also harder in colombia, brazil or california, because the competition is tough... report abuse

 written by Consuelo , September 10, 2010 my mother is from panama city born and raised although from what im told from my father is that my grandfather is colombian and my grandmother is french who knows my father is from the US and has welsh ancestry im a very attractive woman sometimes i forget just how attractive i too get comments on a daily basis sometimes i don't get any at all i just get stared at when im at work they will ask me right off where are you from where do you live or what is your name when i tell them my name is consuelo im from the US and that im panamanian they are like hooooooooo they aren't shy men there's always some kind of playfullness to them the word gets around to just about every hispanic man before you know it i have one or two braves souls aproaching me to say you are so pretty or beautifull asking me out or just wanting to have a conversation it's all very flattering im 100% me nothing plastic i know that most panamanian people aren't tall my mother is not and a few of my sister's aren't but us younger ones are taller and taller i have 8 siblings and we are all very attractive.

They are big (amazon-like, in many cases) and if you are paying for them, you must be a sex-addict (and in need of a VD panel). They are amazon bitches who i wouldn't put up with their holier-than-thou attitudes for an hour let alone want to touch them with out HAZMAT protective gear. Not cute and small (like Costa Ricans or Columbians), but big, ugly b*tches that are most likely crawling with diseases. They are hostile and aggressive toward other women and most off them need a good lesson in common-courtesy 101. I don't care if they are cocktail waitresses (good luck getting a drink this century, btw...), but these are big field hosses that should be left alone in the the jungle. Seriously...in all my central & south american travels, if you a so desperate to get laid that you resort to the barrio Amazons trolling this town, then maybe you deserve them. Have some self-respect...bottom of the barrel all the way. but, i guess, if your bs is so lame and you are a degenerate pig looking for a quick lick before their viagra rots. (occupational hazard) if you have to come here and pay for it.

So when you diss Panamanian women and say that Colombian women are better looking you're really not making much sense. Of course, I don't expect for men who aren't even from the country to know the history of it, even though, if you're American, it's part of your own history. The US has had it's hand in the pot of making Panama an independent country along with taking over the building of the Panama Canal. Most Panamanians are mixed just like Brazilians. Panamanians comes from all different walks of life just like Americans. I myself am Panamanian. I have been asked time and time again if I am Brazilian. I get hit on all the time by guys of all races which comes along with the beauty of being mixed with so many different ethnicities. I used to model as well. There are a lot of beautiful Panamanian actresses and models that you all probably don't even know about: Tatiana Ali(Fresh Prince of Bel Aire) and Jordana Brewster (Fast and the Furious/Fast 5) but you all just stereo-type how a woman is. Well, women of every race have been known to be bitches, not quite danty like a little boy as some of you men seem to want your women, are argumentative (yes Asians aren't quite as submissive as a lot of you white boys may think), etc... I'm pretty sure if I saw a picture of some of you men who are bitching about Panamanian women, I bet you probably aren't as good looking as Brad Pitt or Montel Williams and you probably might be difficult to deal with as well. All of my Panamanian female friends are beautiful, you probably just don't realize that they are Panamanian but I guarantee if you saw both myself and my friends you would swallow those words and be like man I need to check out Panama.
