Culture

Panama culture represents a melting pot of eras, ethnicities, triumphs and failures. The nation's culture is often the target of visiting foreigners, whether it be shows at the National Theater or art exhibits in the streets of Casco Viejo. The Republic of Panama has yet to really embrace its culture the way neighboring Colombia has, but there are major efforts to preserve its cultural image: not only in the form of physical landmarks but also its human patrimony, the living, breathing face of the nation as a whole.
